Delaware Youth Medical Academy

Delaware Youth Medical Academy is a new merit-based program of the Academy’s Delaware Mini Medical School initiative for middle, junior, and high school students (only). Additionally only those who are Delaware residents, or reside within one hour of the Delaware border, are eligible to apply.

Definitions
A series is comprised of 5 or 6 sessions held in sequence.  A session is a one-evening educational unit.

Recognition and Perks

  • Each fully attended series (or 5 or 6 sessions) makes qualifying students eligible to become a member of the Delaware Youth Medical Academy. Members receive a DYMA sticker, e-book, and other items.
  • To unlock membership, students will be asked to author a reflection paper. The specifics of this paper will change from series to series, and will not be released in advance.
  • Attend 2 complete series, and you will be given a discount code to attend the Delaware Academy of Medicine and Public Health annual meeting (there will still be some cost to attend).
  • Attend 3 complete series and you are eligible to attend the Delaware Academy of Medicine and Public Health annual meeting as our guest.
